Hi everyone,
On Wednesday 28TH September at 6.30pm, there will be a new talk organised by Deaf Professional Network (DPN) with British Deaf Association (BDA)’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Buxton followed by DPN’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 28th September 6.30pm onwards.
As there have been a lot of government consultations recently with more to come, many of them directly impact on deaf people lives such as Video Relay Service (VRS) and Disability Living Allowances (DLA), BDA will explain more about these changes.
So how can we make sure we give our views correctly to the government, how do we safeguard deaf people lives and be involved in the correct channels?
The BDA has been working hard recently in those consultations and they wish to share their experiences and explain how we can be involved.
There will be Questions and Answers (Q&A) session followed by half hour of networking – before we proceed with our AGM where we will start elections for the new chair and Treasurer. Also re-elect the Vice-chair/Hon.Secretary and other committee member (see nominations list by email).
Thank you to Remark! as they have kindly provided the venue with nibbles and drinks as this event will be free this time! It is held from 6.30pm ’till everyone leaves.
The address is 18, Leather Lane, EC1N 7SU
Please reply (RSVP) by ** Wednesday 21st September – 6pm** to:
deafprofnetwork@gmail.com with new nominations for new committee – and then we will do vote on paper at AGM.

With thanks,
